UL safety testing Institute is the most authoritative in the United States, is also the world's largest civilian agencies engaged in safety testing and identification. It is an independent, for-profit professional organization that conducts experiments for public safety.
It uses scientific testing methods to study and determine whether various materials, devices, products, equipment, construction, etc. are harmful to life and property and the degree of harm; Determine, prepare and issue relevant standards and materials that help to reduce and prevent the loss of life and property, and conduct fact-finding business.
UL certification in the United States is a non-mandatory certification, mainly product safety performance testing and certification, the scope of certification does not include products EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) characteristics
The UL column name tag is one of the most commonly used UL tags. If this mark is attached to the product, it means that the sample of the product meets the UL safety requirements. These requirements are primarily UL's own published safety standards.
